I'm back! It's been a while. Too long in fact, I fear I'm out of the loop in all things bloggy!
As some of you are aware, whilst I was away from the Blogging world, I moved house (still in the Highlands, Scotland) and spent, what felt like forever, pregnant with my second bundle of joy. It was on the 7th of August at 05:56, that I finally gave birth to my second son who arrived weighing in at 10lbs, 2oz, after a longggg labour. Yep, ouchy! But he's so beautiful!
Anyway, now that life seems to be calming down somewhat (though still sleep deprived), I've decided to get back to blogging! I haven't read as much as I would have like in the past couple of months, but I have delved deeper into the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I didn't see her taking the series in the direction it seems to be going -Anita's bagging herself more than a few males, huh?
I'm also making my way through emails missed. Sorry for the delay! Yes, I will be doing more personal posts about my crazy-ass life, but I'll be concentrating on authors and their books first and foremost. Authors, I have received your review requests and will be getting back to you. However, if you're an author just coming across TToria and you are interested in me posting about your novel, feel free to visit my About & Policy page before popping an email across to email@example.com.
Those familiar with TToria will notice the lack of Blushing Books advertising. I'll still be promoting their books and authors for fans of the genre, but it won't be my top priority, individual indie authors and my current reads, most likely will be.
So, I'm interested to know what fellow book bloggers have been reading and also raving about at the moment! Imagine my surprise when I go online today to see they've finally chosen the 50 Shades of Grey cast... I bet that has your tongues wagging! To think it all began as Fan-fiction, go E.L! I do think they should just hurry up and get it in theatres whilst there's still a buzz about the series though!
And hello, a movie adaptation of the Mortal Instruments first installment City of Bones. That'll be interesting. I did get bored of the love triangle scenario after a while though... But all these books coming to the big screen has got me nervous. Please, please don't ruin them for me! Especially Veronica Roth's Divergent series!
I heard before I departed for my holiday from blogging, that Jamie McGuire was writing Beautiful Disaster from the point of view of Travis. It's released now, how was that folks? I re-read Beautiful Disaster because of this, but I prefer to leave it at that to be honest. It's a great read, I don't want to overdo it! I also re-read Thoughtless by S.C Stephens. Jeez, I love that book!
Karen Marie Moning's Fever series was put on hold for a while, but I finally got to finishing the books, which I'm quite sad about now actually. I'd definitely recommend the series to fans of PNR! It was brilliant, and so unique among the many Paranormal Romances out there.
Speaking of PNR, I'll have to check out what J.R Ward has in the pipeline! And an author recommendation for fab romance novellas: Rachel Firasek!
As you know, I'm a great fan of Zoe Winters/ Kitty Thomas, so you'll know how happy I am that I have finally begun my hardback collection of her work (having only read her stories on my Kindle). These reads throw a spanner in your sanity wheel, but they stick with you! I love a book I can't forget, be it shocking or otherwise. I'll be checking out her site too after I'm done with emails, but if there is any gossip on future releases, please do share...
I can't wait to catch up with everyone, and I'm looking forward to meeting newbies to the blogging world, too! Don't forget to send me links to your blogs or sites for me to check out!
I'll post again soon, about which book/ author, I don't know yet, but in the meantime feel free to come say a wee hello over on Twitter! I'll also be updating past posts on TToria, I'm thinking this blog needs a serious makeover...
Thanks for stopping by!!
